Nestled in its own secluded garden orchard surrounded by nature, The Apple Shed offers a warm, inviting cabin with all the comforts for a peaceful getaway.

It has everything you need for a relaxing countryside weekend retreat or midweek reset. Inside, you’ll find a beautifully decorated space with a cosy but bright living area, a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed with quality bedding and everything you need for a restful break.

It’s perfect for snuggling up on a winter’s evening or enjoying light-filled mornings in spring and summer.

What's yours to enjoy

Kitchen: Fully equipped including an induction hob and oven, fridge with small freezer, kettle and toaster. Tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk. Alternative milk available. For guests staying 2+ nights, home pressed apple juice (apples from the orchard) will be available.

Lounge: Small Smart TV (personal log in required for Netflix, Disney Plus etc; wi-fi available). A selection of games, books, maps and local guides are available for you to use.

Bedroom: Hand-crafted king-size bed, quality Egyptian cotton and linen/cotton blend bedding, ample storage.

Ensuite shower room: Bath, hand and hair towels. Eco-conscious toiletries provided. Heated towel radiator.

Heating: Electric radiator in both the open plan kitchen/living area and bedroom (temperature adjustable).

Outside: Full use of the orchard with hammock and fire pit. Free parking and easy check-in.

Meet the Hosts... Hello from Sarah and Bruce!

Brighton is where it all started – Sarah from London, Bruce from rural Gloucestershire, brought together by a shared love of wildlife, the outdoors, and careers in nature conservation.

Devon had been pulling at our heartstrings for years. Annual holidays, a wedding in South Devon, and a growing feeling that this was where we were meant to be. So in 2018, we packed up Brighton and headed west to Bramleys with our two daughters and Sarah’s mum, planning to rent while we figured out where to put down roots. We never quite got around to leaving.

When the chance came to buy Bramleys, along with the old orchard beside the garden, it felt like the obvious next chapter. That orchard is now home to The Apple Shed.

It started life as a sheep shed, but we had a vision: a quiet, cosy retreat where guests could properly switch off and breathe. Planning approval came through in 2024, building work followed in early 2025, and our first guests arrived in September 2025.

We’re so glad you found us and we hope you love it here as much as we do.
